Title: ANALYSE ET CATÉGORISATION MORPHOSYNTAXIQUES DES VERBES CONJUGUÉS À L’IMPARFAIT DE L’INDICATIF

Abstract: In this article, we propose to analyze the morphosyntactic constructions of verbs conjugated in the imperfect indicative. The objective of our contribution is to elucidate the meaningful side of verbs and to arrive at a new verbal categorization that would facilitate the learning of the composition of the imperfect indicative for learners. Our contribution essentially takes into account the classical categorization instituted by traditional grammar, which has theoretical and methodological shortcomings. That said, the work on oral production will allow us to highlight the significant gap between the morphosyntactic structures of oral and written language. Our analytical approach will allow us to list some morphosyntactic forms of oral verbs in order to facilitate their teaching to learners.

Title: LES STRATÉGIES ARGUMENTATIVES DANS LE DISCOURS NUMÉRIQUE : CAS DES INFLUENCEURS ALGÉRIENS SUR LES RÉSEAUX SOCIAUX

Abstract: Our research focuses on the study of argumentative strategies as deployed in the digital discourse of influencers described as web rhetors, in the Algerian context. The objective of focusing on the web communication of these content creators is to analyze their techno-discursive practices (Paveau, 2017) to explain the persuasive power (Amossy, 2006) of their linguistic materiality, which allows them to become opinion leaders (Attruia, 2021) in the digital world, to identify their worldview, and their ability to influence a community of followers. To do this, we chose to analyze three videos containing content that generated a controversial effect (buzz effect) during the period 2022-2023. In order to exploit these videos, which constitute a highly structured medium combining two communication channels: animated images and verbal production produced in a digital environment (i.e., the sharing of travel experiences for videos 1-2 taken from Nour Brahimi and Khoubaib’s Instagram accounts, and reflections on social life for video 3 produced by Ghosto on TikTok), we translated and transcribed their content to facilitate the analysis of the argumentative strategies used by influencers to exercise their authority through this media exposure.

Title: L’ÉVALUATION D’UNE OFFRE DE FORMATION AUX TIC EN CONTEXTE UNIVERSITAIRE ALGÉRIEN D’APPRENTISSAGE DU FLE

Abstract: ICT represents a reality that should necessarily be experienced. University stakeholders (students and teachers) are invited to use a range of technological techniques and tools to improve their practices. For its part, the Algerian institution offers ICT training courses for students in all fields. The main question we asked ourselves was whether the offer intended for students enrolled in the first year of the French language degree program is relevant or not. To answer this question, we conducted an evaluation of all the aspects contained in this offer (objectives, prerequisites, program, learner assessment, and suggested resources). We found that, for the most part, the elements of the offer seem relevant, apart from a few reported shortcomings.

Title: STRATEGIES AND TACTICS INTERPRETERS USE TO OVERCOME COGNITIVE AND LINGUISTIC CHALLENGES

Abstract: This article is based on nearly two decades of experience in teaching translation and interpreting at university level. Its aim is to explore the strategic and tactical approaches interpreters use to overcome cognitive and linguistic challenges, and to make these available to students who are often apprehensive about interpreting exercises. The article distinguishes between long-term strategic preparation, such as familiarising oneself with the subject and carrying out terminological research, and real-time tactical adaptations, which include rapid reformulation and language management of unexpected linguistic nuances. By focusing on the practical application in teaching, this paper bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world practice, providing a coherent framework for teacher educators and students. By integrating theoretical ideas with practical advice, the article seeks to improve understanding and competence in the field of interpreting, promoting the ongoing development of the essential skills and coping strategies necessary for professional practice.

Title: LES FONCTIONS EXÉCUTIVES DANS L’APPRENTISSAGE DE LA PRODUCTION ÉCRITE : FONCTIONS ET DYSFONCTIONS

Abstract: This article examines the role of executive functions in learning in general, and in writing activities in particular. Its aim is to briefly present the executive functions involved in a learner’s educational activities as a whole, as well as the impact their dysfunction can have on academic performance. Executive functions are high-level cognitive processes that help individuals adapt to new situations. This makes them essential in the learning process, as they enable goal setting, strategy development, and active task engagement. Through this article, we aim to explain how these executive functions are involved in the act of writing. Given the role of these processes in learning, any disruption should be identified and addressed promptly, as executive dysfunction can hinder cognitive activity. To this end, this modest contribution outlines the main observable difficulties to help teachers detect them and, accordingly, take the necessary steps to address them.

Title: LA LECTURE À L’UNIVERSITÉ ALGÉRIENNE : LE DUEL ENTRE PAPIER ET NUMÉRIQUE

Abstract: Our study focuses on the reading of literary texts across different formats: printed and digital. Its objective is to analyze students’ preferences regarding the reading medium used during classroom activities. To achieve this, we sought to answer the following questions: Which formats are preferred by FLE students when reading literary texts? Does the choice of format influence comprehension and information retention? To explore these questions, we designed a written questionnaire, which was administered to third-year French language students. This questionnaire aimed to examine the time dedicated to reading, the information retained, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each format. Two novels were selected for the study: Le Joueur d’échecs by Stefan Zweig and Le Vieil homme et la mer by Ernest Hemingway. The students were instructed to read one of these two works and produce a reading report based on their experience. They had the option to choose between three formats: printed book, digital book (PDF), and audiobook. The results indicate that 70% of students preferred the digital version, while 30% opted for the printed format. As for comprehension and information retention, these appear to depend on various factors, including reading expectations, time dedicated to the activity, and the type of format used.

Title: L’IMPACT DE L’ANIMATION SUR L’ENSEIGNEMENT/APPRENTISSAGE DU FRANÇAIS LANGUE ÉTRANGÈRE : ÉTUDE EXPÉRIMENTALE AUPRÈS DES APPRENANTS EN CONTEXTE ALGÉRIEN

Abstract: This research falls within the field of foreign language didactics and focuses on the integration of animation as an audiovisual support in the teaching and learning of French as a Foreign Language (FFL). The main objective is to analyze the effect of this multimodal device on the construction of linguistic and referential knowledge among fifth-grade learners. The adopted methodology is based on an experiment conducted with two groups: a control group (G1), which worked on a descriptive text related to the description of a cat, and an experimental group (G2), which benefited from viewing an animation in the classroom context. The analysis and interpretation of the collected data highlight the contribution of animation as a didactic mediation tool that fosters motivation, comprehension, and appropriation of the target language.

Title: TORNAR-SE UM PROFISSIONAL DA EDUCAÇÃO: CAMINHOS DA FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE NOS ISCED PARA A MELHORIA DA QUALIDADE DA EDUCAÇÃO EM ANGOLA

Title: DER DAF-STUDIENGANG IN ALGERIEN: HERAUSFORDERUNGEN UND NEUE BERUFSPERSPEKTIVEN

Abstract: The present article outlines the current challenges facing the German as a foreign language program in Algeria, given the severely limited career opportunities available to its graduates. The declining demand for German teachers in secondary schools, the dominance of French, and new strategic measures for promoting English as first foreign language have more or less marginalized the field of German studies in the Algerian higher education landscape. In addition, many Algerian high school graduates today choose to study German as a foreign language not because of their intrinsic motivation, but rather due to the lack of study alternatives. Against this background, this article analyzes firstly the tension between university-based German programs and employment opportunities and demonstrates how the existing current curricula are negatively impacting the attractiveness of the field program of German. Based on empirical analysis of existing curricula, particularly at the master’s level, the current curricula are reconstructed and subjected to critical analysis. Building on this, concrete reform proposals for curricular renewal are then discussed. This contribution focuses on strengthening the integration of the German as a foreign Language program with more practice-oriented job profiles such as interpreting, translating and language services providing, but also with other sectors such as business and tourism, where development of the sector is forecast for Algeria and offers interesting career opportunities. The focus of the considerations is on specifying possible fields of work, from expanding and renewing new master’s profiles to non-university collaborations, which can also make a decisive contribution to increasing the employability of German as a Foreign Language graduates in the Algerian labor and lending new long-term relevance to German as a Foreign Language in the higher Educational landscape.

Title: L’APPORT DE L’ANALYSE DU PHÉNOMÈNE COLLOCATIF À LA COMPRÉHENSION DES ÉCRITS À VISÉE MÉDICALE

Abstract: This research focuses on the functioning and categorization of collocations in medical writings. Positioned at the intersection of lexis and grammar, these associations play a fundamental role in communicative competence, both linguistic and pragmatic. Mastery of such units is essential for understanding and transmitting knowledge, particularly in specialized contexts. The study adopts a phraseological approach and applies an extraction method to medical press articles in order to analyze the morphosyntactic composition and semantic properties of these collocations.

Title: LA DERNIÈRE NUIT DU RAÏS DE YASMINA KHADRA : CONDITIONS DE PRODUCTION

Abstract: This article takes an in-depth look at the production conditions that shaped the writing of La Dernière Nuit du Raïs by Yasmina Khadra, a major Algerian author in contemporary Francophone literature. The study highlights the historical and political context in which this 2015 novel was conceived, a work that seeks to reconstruct the final hours of Muammar Gaddafi, the emblematic and controversial leader of Libya for more than forty years. Through this narrative, Khadra offers an immersion into the Raïs’s consciousness at the moment when his regime is collapsing under the pressure of popular revolt and international intervention.

Title: MIRRORS, AGEING, AND THE FEMALE GAZE IN DORIS LESSING’S LOVE, AGAIN

Abstract: This paper explores the symbolic role of mirrors in Doris Lessing’s novel “Love, Again”, both to interrogate societal expectations regarding ageing and sexuality, and to emphasise the fragmented nature of human identity. Across literary traditions, the mirror has been associated with the idea of the construction of identity, and it has often functioned as a liminal space where the protagonists confront both their illusions and their realities. In “Love, Again”, Lessing employs the mirror symbol to depict the complexities of an older woman’s struggles while navigating love and desire. This symbol also aligns with feminist discourses, particularly those addressing the gaze, performativity, and gender roles according to age. Through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates cultural studies and feminist literary criticism, the paper calls attention to the fact that mirrors serve as sites of revelation and conflict between individual authenticity and social expectations that promote rigid structures regarding female identity and desirability.
